Arkansas Communication & Theatre Arts Association
The Arkansas Communication and Theatre Arts Association is a community of professionals devoted to the rigorous study and ethical practice of oral communication and theatre arts as an essential discipline, life skill, and art form. Through continuing teacher education, student participation, and scholarly publication the association supports the efforts and continued growth of communication and theatre arts teachers, students and researchers. ACTAA offers professional development to educators in the areas of, but are not limited to, instructional strategies, lesson plan sharing, building and maintaining a collaborative learning environment, parental involvement, principles of learning, college forums, debate forums, competitive speech forums, curriculum alignment, mentoring/coaching, advocacy and leadership in communication, theatre arts and humanities, and cognitive research.
